HEAR ME OUT!!!! Wriothesley from Genshin with an S/O that gets easily depressed from the lack of sunlight in the fortress.
Honestly from there, go crazy! At this point, after seeing the MASTERPIECE you made from my previous Maruki request, I trust you with all my boys💖
-🧃anon (if you don't have one already) (if you do I'll think of a new one next time I make an ask)

It’s nearly mid-afternoon when he returns to your shared bedroom. And you’re in the exact position he left you in early, early this morning. It makes him frown.
He’s due for a meeting relatively soon. And there are a few things he needs to take care of before the afternoon shifts are completed, so he has to be quick about this visit. Still, that doesn’t stop him from taking near-silent and utterly slow steps as he crosses the room to see you, a cup of your favorite flavor of freshly brewed tea in his hand. You’re still curled up in a ball, blankets tucked all around you except for your uncovered head. Your eyes are closed gently, and your breathing is steady and even as you doze quietly. You’re as beautiful as you’ve always been, but this sight always makes him worry. He wonders if you've woken up at all since he last saw you.
A quick glance at the bedside table where your brunch lies, cold and untouched, tells him exactly everything he needs to know.
“Sweetheart,” Wriothesley murmurs as he places a hand on your shoulder to shake you awake. You make a small sound. Something so sweet and sleepy it makes his heart soften. But he knows better than to let you carry on like this. So he tries again, shaking your shoulder a little more forcefully and speaking to you a bit louder than before. “Sweetheart, it’s time for you to get up, alright?”
“Mmm,” You make a non-committal sound underneath your breath, but at the very least, he spots you starting to stretch your legs and uncurl yourself from beneath the blankets. Though he can’t help but notice the slight shiver in your body as you start to straighten out. You’ve been doing that a lot lately, he realized. Every time he leaves the bed, really. Is the bedroom too cold for you? Should he invest in another heater? More blankets? It’s going to become winter soon, and even the Fortress of Meropide manages to feel the seasons as the nights grow longer and the wind blows harder. He’ll have to work out something soon to address this problem. For your sake. “W-Wriothesley?”
At the sound of your voice, the man in question is broken out of his thoughts. He turns his attention back to you in enough time to see you struggling to sit up in the bed. Your hair is a bit of a mess, and you still look exhausted despite getting well over the typical eight hours of sleep necessary for most people to survive. He tries not to let his worried expression show, and for the most part, it doesn’t. Though he’s not confident you’d even be able to understand the emotion behind his eyes given the way you’re too busy rubbing at yours and blinking them slowly as you struggle to adjust to the dimming light in the room.
Still, he holds back his sighs and his frowns whenever he’s met with this familiar sight. Because above all else, he just doesn’t want you to think that it’s your fault. And it isn’t. If there’s anyone to blame it’s him. It has to be him.
For loving you too much to let you go.
“Hi sweetheart,” He greets you again, a small encouraging smile on his face. He takes a seat on the side of the bed and almost instantly, you’re scooting a little closer to the edge to be near him. Once you’re settled, your body leans into his a little bit. There’s a blanket wrapped around your shoulders and plenty covering your lower body as you sit up in the bed. But he can feel your body mend into his through the fabric as he transfers the cup of tea into your hands. You light up slightly at the sight, and there’s a small smile on your face now as well. It’s no longer steaming in the mug, but you still lightly blow at the liquid on the very top so as to not accidentally burn your tongue. But it doesn’t take too long for you to place the mug to your lips and to tilt your head. You must have been so thirsty. Wriothesley should have come to visit you sooner. “You should eat something, too. It’s already the afternoon.”
You don’t respond for a little bit, too busy sipping down at your tea with greedy little gulps. So Wriothesley takes the time to look at you. Really look at you. Not a passing glance he gives you when he’s seeking a quick little serotonin boost throughout his day. Not one of those long looks of admiration that he gives you when all he can see is the beauty and perfection of your form. But a look at the true, true version of you as it appears in front of him. And it takes him only mere seconds to spot just how sickly you seem.
Your skin doesn’t have the same shine to it that it used to. There are bags under your eyes despite all the sleep you do whenever he’s not around to entertain you. You’re well-fed here- Wriothesley makes sure all the meals you receive are to your liking- but there’s still a weak and fragile look about you. Should he call Sigewinne to come in for a check-in again? The thought has crossed his mind more than once after he noticed just how much you’ve been sleeping and losing interest in all the new books he brings down for you. But deep down inside, he knows the reason you’re like this. He knows it all too well.
You haven’t taken well to life in the Fortress of Meropide.
If he’s being honest with himself, you belong on the surface. You belong where you can receive as much sunlight and warmth and bright colors whenever you want. But he fell in love on one rare day when had to attend to matters outside the Fortress. He just saw you from afar and with one small look, he fell for you. And you fell for him too. But he wasn’t willing to sacrifice his role as the Administrator of the Fortress to live a life so foreign to him after spending years and years beneath the surface. It felt like all he had ever known since his arrival. But you were willing to make that sacrifice. You were willing to stay in the Fortress of Meropide and live a life by his side. Even though he wasn’t willing to do the same.
“Thank you for the tea!” You tell him as you pull the cup back from your lips. Your voice is cheery, and there’s a smile on your face- one that’s bright and big and happy. But you still look so tired. So ready to curl up and go back to sleep the second he leaves. He knows he shouldn’t be surprised. He knows, he knows, he knows. But part of him just hopes that if he wished the problem away enough, you’d be okay. That you wouldn’t have to struggle like this if could just snap his fingers and make a little magic happen. But the other part of him? The more sensible, logical, sympathetic side of him? The side that would do absolutely anything to keep you by his side? “And I meant to eat sooner. But I just got really sleepy all of a sudden, and wanted to take a quick nap before-”
“I’ll take you outside soon.”
That part of him knows exactly what he has to do to make things right.
When he speaks the words into existence, you instantly freeze. A long silence follows as you’re both unsure of what to do. Of what to say. You’ve never asked about leaving the Fortress before. And he knows you want to. He knows you need to at this point. And not sure for an hour or two. You need a couple of days at least outdoors. Enjoying the sun. Breathing in the fresh air. Existing in a world that isn’t covered head to toe with metal walls and pipes.
But you never asked. You just didn’t. And you won’t. You never request anything other than a couple of letters to your family and friends on the surface being delivered here or there. You know Wriothesley is a busy man. One who can’t just drop everything for a little vacation because he’s feeling down or wants a break. But this is completely different. Because he wouldn’t do this for himself.
But he would absolutely do it for you.
“I’ll take you outside soon.” He repeats himself, a little more quietly this time. His eyes are gazing forward and bearing into your own. He moves his hand and places it on your blanket thigh and squeezes it gently. He owes you the whole world. Because that’s exactly what you are to him- his world. “I promise.”
But he needs to start taking better care of it. He needs to start taking better care of you.
Because your depression is obvious, even if you try to hide it. He’s known it this entire time, but it’s been hard to admit it when he knows that this decline in your overall well-being wouldn’t exist without his selfishness. He doesn’t know much about the you who existed outside of his swift courtship. But he always noticed the decline in your health and personality and presence. From the first few weeks of your arrival to now, you’re a different person. Less energy. A little quieter. No longer interested in the things you used to like. A little more melancholy. A little less you.
You’re still the person he fell in love with. But you’re also the person he failed to protect. The person he failed to provide for. Because when you said you would go with him, he promised that he’d make you happy. He promised that he’d make the Fortress your home. Someplace where you could thrive. But will that ever happen? Will he ever succeed? He doesn’t know. It’s his first time taking a sunflower away from the sun. There’s more he knows he has to do. But at the very least…
“Okay, WriothesleyI’d like that, please.”
…he can start with this.

ELYSIAN ♫
05. Time is a bargaining tool
Time is a bargaining tool.
Scara knew that.
“You want me to feature on your album?” You repeated Scara’s words, beginning to doubt your ability to hear, “Do you realize how risky that is?”
Scara bobbed his head with pleased a expression etched on his face as if his words weren’t weighted with worry, “That’s why I asked you if you were ready to take a risk.”
You stood up, unable to sit still, now pacing across the room. Bambi must have sensed your unease, because he too, started following you while rubbing himself against your legs, “On a normal occasion, I wouldn’t mind. But you’re playing with two careers here. I might sound frustrating, refusing your offer, but don’t blame me for being realistic.”
“When have I ever cared about reputations?”
You fought the urge to smack him back into his senses.
“Never, but you’re in an industry where the public’s opinion can change the trajectory of the career you’ve established for years.”
And I don’t want you to go through that as well.
“We’re not puppets.”
“That’s debatable.”
Scara sighed, tousling his hair once again—his nervous habit, “We shouldn’t let them control us.”
It’s easier said than done.
But you understood where he was coming from.
You faced him, offering your utmost sincerity, “I don’t want to drag you in my mess. Nor do I want to cause more trouble than necessary.”
Silence engulfed the room. You glanced over at your friend. He’s deep in thought, gaze intense, expression unreadable. But you knew he was scheming, thinking of ways to persuade you—anything to assure you that all’s well, ends well.
Because what Scara wants, Scara gets.
“How long is your hiatus?”
You shrugged your shoulder and decided to sit back down. Bambi trailed you as he leaped up the bed and onto your lap. Clingy cats are the best, “I don’t know, but they’ll probably kick me out before it’s over. I have less than three months left, anyway.”
“What if we use this opportunity?”
“What do you mean?”
He crossed his arms, “Tell your story. Your silence leaves for more assumptions to grow.”
“I would if they let me use my voice. I was planning to wait until my contract is up to take legal actions.”
He tilted his head, “Why can’t you now?”
“Because they’re silencing me. Especially since my accuser is from the same company,” You deadpanned, stating the obvious, a detail he may have forgotten.
Scaramouche scoffed in disbelief, eyebrows furrowed as he shook his head in disapproval, “But they’re willing to throw you under the bus and take her side over you?”
“Which is why I don’t want to be responsible for ruining the career you’ve built for years. Even my friends are receiving unnecessary hate just because they’re connected to me.”
“So it’s a lost cause?”
You nodded.
“Can you…” Scara hesitated, wondering if he should continue, “Can you think it over some more? At least until your hiatus is up?”
You crossed your arms, failing to hide the faint smile creeping across your lips, “You sound desperate.”
“Enjoying my misery?”
“Absolutely.”
“I’ll win you over, just wait.”
Time is a bargaining tool.
You realized that.
Notes:

Wishing on Golden Stars [TEASER-2]
a/n: decided on a whim to post a second teaser bc of how much progress ive made on this bad boy for the past week. this time ayato is actually in it! who'd thought! yet again, this little snippet length is just over 1k ! and just like before, it's hardly edited properly since this is just a draft version of the final piece lol - here's the link to the first teaser if you're interested!
The pale-haired man politely dismissed himself from the conversation he was having with Tomoki. Making his way to your side as Aether waltzes himself up to join the group.
“It’s been a while,” you greet when the blond stops in front of you. You’ve seen him once or twice in quick passing since your trip to Watatsumi during the war. He’s always busy with something or another when he’s here. Whether it be wrapped up in something Itto had dragged him into, or commissions he’d picked up out of the goodness of his heart; so proper greetings were hard to come by. “I hope you’ve both been keeping out of trouble.”
Aether rubs the back of his head sheepishly as Paimon joins him in the silent answer of ‘sort of’.
“It’s never anything we can’t handle,” Paimon defends.
“I’m sure,” you humor.
“What brings you both back to Inazuma?” Ayato asks. An easy and relaxed expression rests on his cheeks. It makes you forget about your discomfort, seeing him even a smidge more relaxed than usual. “Nothing untoward I hope.”
“We just wanted to come and catch up with some friends!” Paimon explains.
“It’s been a while since we’ve come back here on anything other than business,” Aether supports. “It’s nice to take in the island air sometimes.” You nod, understanding. He, of all people, needs to look after himself in the event of a crisis.
“It’s good to take time for yourself,” you tell him. Crossing your arms, you shoot a look of disapproval to your employer who stands at your shoulder. “If only I could get a certain someone to follow your example.”
“Why, whatever do you mean?” The smile that was once relaxed, shifts to one of enjoyment as he looks at you. “I’m making time right now, aren’t I?” Rolling your eyes you brush off his attempt at pushing your buttons.
“Only after Thoma’s constant insisting.” With his arms folded behind him and a slight bend in his back to get closer into your space, you turn away from him with a huff. Paimon and Aether look at each other before looking back at you both. It was obvious Ayato was enjoying prodding you and from the looks of it, you were just letting him. It could hardly be seen as a scenario between a mere employer and retainer. It’s much too comfortable.
Ayato’s attention was briefly taken away from you at Tomoki’s nervous beckon. Apparently, he had taken one of Ayato’s out of world ideas into consideration and wanted a bit more of an idea for the future. Dismissing himself, Aether steps up to the plate to continue entertaining you in Ayato’s stead.
“It’s good to see you’re getting along,” he tells you in regard to Ayato.
“Of course. He’s tough to handle, but nothing I can’t subdue.” You chuckle. It was always good seeing Aether. Even if you both couldn’t speak of your outworld heritage, just knowing that he knew was enough for you to feel a weight off your shoulders.
“It’s usually Thoma trailing after him like this, so I was shocked to see you instead.”
“Yeah, that's true!” Paimon agreed. You nod.
“For some reason, Lord Kamisato wanted me to come out with him today instead. Thoma may have been too busy with housework and since Ayaka had no plans today, having him stay with her made more sense.” Of course, you didn’t know the full reason and this was just you thinking out loud.
“Yeah, somehow Paimon doesn’t think that’s all true,” she shoots you a look with her arms cross. Blinking at her, you raise a brow.
“What do you mean?” You ask. She shares a knowing glance with Aether before looking back. “What are you both thinking about?” Aether steps forward and whispers something in your ear. It was nonsense. Ayato preferring you over Thoma like he was suggesting was just folly! Still, it made your ears burn and you want to smack the smirk off his face when he finally steps away from you.
With your head down and hand raised to pinch between your eyes on your bridge, the smirk on Aether’s face twitches as he looks over your shoulder. Behind you, turned away from Tomoki who was scribbling something down, was Ayato shooting him a rather ominous look. Aether was a reader of a person's emotions, but Ayato had always been difficult to grasp. This look however was loud and clear. The blond took another step back as he tucked his hands down to his side.
“What’s your problem?” You ask, head relifted and noticing his odd shift in behavior.
“Oh, it’s nothing.” He brushes off your attempt to get behind the reason for his change. You want to press more, but don’t get far. The itch in your throat comes back to the forefront of your mind with a harsh cough. Turning away from him, you cover your mouth and try to swallow back the coughing behind your hand. It doesn’t work. Suppressing it only makes it feel worse.
You hear Paimon start panicking behind you and Aether’s body moves closer to hover around you, unsure about what he should do. The hand you feel push against your back wasn’t the traveler’s, but the gloved hand of Ayato. Your cough fit ends with you gathering your breath with a slumped posture. Ayato’s hand still softly ran up and down your spine as you recompose yourself.
“Are you okay?” Paimon asks in worry. With sweat on your forehead, you nod.
“This always seems to happen around this time of year,” Ayato says. You weren’t sure if he was addressing you, Aether, Paimon, or deducing it to himself. Still, it’s heard by everyone regardless.
“Oh no, are you sick?” Paimon floats over to you, now standing back up to your height, and frets in even closer proximity.
“I’ll be fine. I’ve dealt with worse than a cough before.”
“That doesn’t mean you aren’t sick,” Aether argues before Paimon floats back to his side and agrees behind his shoulder. “You should go home and rest.”
“That’s-”
“Exactly what we intend to do,” Ayato interrupts. You look over your shoulder at him behind you. His face is serious, and he means every word. You feel sort of guilty, like you ruined one of the few chances he has to come into town that isn’t work related. “You’ll have to excuse us,” he addresses Aether.
“Should we walk you back?” He offers. Ayato knows it’s all in good faith and he’s only worried for you, but the clawing feeling at the back of his neck from his spine almost makes him frown at the suggestion.
“No need,” he declines. “We can manage.” Aether doesn’t press anymore. With a few more words of parting, Ayato offers you his arm to hold onto, which you decline since you weren’t so weak you couldn’t walk on your own. Soon, you both were leaving the city and making your way back to the Kamisato estate. Upon arrival, Ayato had your hand in his gloved one, leading you through the gates on the verge of yet another coughing fit. A samurai standing guard was quickly instructed to find Thoma.

Scholar’s moral tutor
Alhaitham x Male!reader, SLIGHT angst to fluff, mostly fluff tbh
Warnings: slightly yan Alhaitham, angst, reader thinks he is dumb, kinda mean Alhaitham,
An: im screaming, crying. This was a request from an anon asking for Alhaitham angst/fluff but I accidentally clicked post when I was trying to save it as a draft theennn I had to delete the post. So yep, now the ask is gone! IM SO SORRY 😭😭😭😭
Alhaitham was by no means a morally green person. He hardly bat an eye to the troubles of the people on the street on his way home. His usual schedule was to get his work done then get home, no exceptions unless perhaps his friends annoyances needed him. Then you changed everything. Suddenly hes working overtime to help you study for your maths exam, even bothering to backtrack on topics you didn’t comprehend. It was only later in your second semester he realized he quite enjoyed the time spent on you. It even came to him that he didn’t want these days to end. He had to have a permanent part in your life- not just your tutor. Yet he didn’t rush it, after all, he believed that as long as he a gave you what you wanted-his knowledge- then you’d never leave him. How wrong he was.
Alhaitham’s bad habits eventually caught up. He was so used to treating people as if they were invisible until they talked to him it was buried so deep in his personality that when he wanted to change, it was taking all too long.
“Are you even listening to me? I said the formula is x^3+y^3+2^3=k not x^2-“
“Stop blurting when you can be thinking, y/n.”
“No. You are wrong. Start over.”
“Pay attention, y/n.”
You buried your head in your book, biting your lip so hard you swore it bled. Why could you still hear Alhaitham’s voice in your head? You were alone and Alhaitham wouldn’t check on you for another hour. You managed to grit your teeth and breath in , lifting your pen again and starting to write down more notes. “Grip the pen like this. Messy handwriting may become illiterate, which is not acceptable in the Akademiya.”
You stood up, breathing deeply. No, no! You were fine, fine, fine.
After a few more failed attempts at calming down, you jotted it down to lack of sleep-deciding to skip lessons with Alhaitham today to sleep early.
That was just it, you didn’t want to avoid him.
—
”Where were you yesterday, y/n?” Alhaitham demanded, his eyes looking a bit more irritated then usual. You had totally not expected Alhaitham to find you during lunch, more than a little miffed at the fact that you had left before he could meet you yesterday. All you could do was manage a pained smile, “Ahaha…I…had…a…uhm…”
Okay, okay, think of excuses! My grandma died-ok no, she already had. Uhh, my dog ran away. Tsk, no, you don’t have a dog! My cat committed arson-You don’t have a cat either!
You just stared up at him, giving him an awkward smile. Embarrassment kept creeping up your cheeks as Alhaitham stared you down, frowning. It was only after a few awkward moments of silence Alhaitham brought up his hand to rub his head tiredly, sighing, “Fine. I suppose since you didn’t have an exam today, it was reasonable. Now, on the other hand, I refuse to let you of as you do have an exam of quintic formula tomorrow.” He ignored the way his heart rate quickened as he saw your eyes light up, beaming. This was utterly unfair for the archons to let such a handsome cute being to exist. You nodded quickly, feeling relieved Alhaitham wasn’t angry. You could not totally handle today’s lessons with him. —
You take that back. You couldn’t. He was more strict today than usual, berating you on mistakes he’d usually ignore. Your brain was pounding againt your skull as you reviewed the lesson for the umpteenth time. You could so do this. It was (not) fine. Alhaitham was explaning about how epsilon was the opposite of x in math, or maybe that was an hour ago. It all went over your head anyway. “Y/n? Are you listening?” Alhaitham demanded, frowning.
“Yes…yes…”
—
That was your latest lesson with Alhaitham, and it was three weeks ago. After that you had taken it upon yourself to study alone. You knew you were probably overreacting in this situation, but the pounding headaches from the extra assignments Alhaitham gave you and the lack of sleep to make way for his lessons were catching up on you, making your head pound with drowsiness every waking moment. It still does. Maybe it wasn’t Alhaitham himself, really. Maybe all this was your reaction to the being beside an unmatched genius all the time-pressuring you to be just as good at least, as if you could ever. You’d never have Academic validation in the eyes of the genius scribe. So what really was the point?
Your overthinking…overreacting…Why can’t you just be the perfect boy like Alhaitham?
Because your not smart. Your not gifted. Your not enough.
“Y/n. You’re no being of meager intellect, so don’t act like it.”
‘A being of meager intellect…huh?’
—
”Y/n avoiding you? They probably just can’t stand your personality.” Kaveh drawled, still focused on sketching out a project proposal for his client.
“I can’t believe I asked you.” Alhaitham sighed, looking down at the book on his lap. You didn’t hate him, did you? No, he made an effort to be kinder to you then most people. So what had he done wrong? Alhaitham mentally charted down everything he had done within the timespan- he pretended not to notice you stealing his lunch, he gave you cookies during the last-
So what mistake did he do? Why? What?
It was the first time in a many years the genius Alhaitham was confused, absolutely stumped.
—
“Y/n.”
“A-ah!?” You turned back to see Alhaitham with a deadpan serious expression, frowning, “Why are you avoiding me?” He demanded. “And don’t give me some bullshit excuse.”
Okay…Alhaitham just cursed. This was quite…bad. “I was…I was…” you stumbled over your words, wondering what to tell him. The truth? Definitely not. Absolutely not.
“Don’t lie to me. Please.”
That made your brain short circuit. Alhaitham pleading? Since when?
“…I-I it’s bit embarrassing but-I felt pressured because…because your so perfect and everything even though you have a bit of an asshole personality and I can never be like you!”
“…”
That rendered you both speechless, Alhaitham shocked and you just plain embarrassed. Your quiteeee the idiot, aren’t you? You blabbered your mouth now Alhaitham’s going to make fun of-
“Apologies if that bothered you in any way.” Alhaitham adverted his eyes, his gaze trailing across the floor, “…May I rephrase my offer? I-think that I have an idea to satisfy both of us.” That caught your attention as your eyes locked on his face. He had an expression you never expected to see from him. He was…nervous?
You remembered to speak.
“I-I uhm-the offer to be my tutor? But-uhm-I mean-er- sure.” You stumbled over your words as you cringed at yourself, why were you so jittery, really?
“I would like you to be my friend. I-will not lie I wish for more than that but-“ Alhaitham coughed into his hand, regaining his composure, “I hope you’ll let be build up from there. Please treat me like any other friend and come to me with any of your troubles, even those relating to me myself.” His voice was unusually stiff as he tried to hide his fear of your rejection, hoping you’d allow him this for now.
“I-sure! Sure! So-I’ll call you Haitham from now on!” You offered awkwardly, you were not at all dejected about this outcome- in fact, you were joyful! The only thing bothering you was the feeling of uncertainty of having Alhaitham as your friend, and maaybe that little comment about ‘wanting more than that.’
But your first worry was your math quiz in a few minutes. Oh. Right. You were on the way to class, weren’t you?
-Another thing bothering you then- You don’t have a tutor anymore. So lets see your grades.
“Y/n? Why do you look panicked?”
—
Alhaitham was by no means a morally green person. He hardly bat an eye to the troubles of the people on the street on his way home. His usual schedule was to get his work done then get home, no exceptions unless you or his friends asked. But you changed everything. Now he’s willing to try to be morally green- to be worthy of your attention.
Maybe your his tutor now. He doesn’t have a problem with that.
An: This was longer than I expected! Kinda crappy tbh I didn’t put much thought into the story because OH CRAP QUARTER TESTS ARE COMING! Hope you liked it even a bit 🤭 EDIT: Yeah...I reread it the plot makes not much sense sorrry promise the next post will be better 😭😭😭

Litterally sent that 5 minutes ago I did not expect that but I’m not complaining,
Little fox series because yeah.
We decided we wanted to be there for one of their meetings that’s for like future plans and stuff, there’s a issue with transportation they can’t figure out, randomly we are like “what if we just moved this over there and then went there instead first?”
Basically we accidentally solved one of the problems via had been listening to pantalone and the others talk about this kinda stuff before
Also we are like not a little kid but still considered a child
-Simon
Well, we will be considered kid until we marry ahahahah. Anyway baby fox is now little fox (we are about 7/8 years old)
SIMPLICITY AT ITS BEST
Drawing at the meeting was always a pleasure, and it also meant having someone to share it with..
You were shocked: you knew what they were capable of: Dottore had achieved immortality, Sandrone created automatons for fun, Pantalone was the richest man in the entire world, and yet they couldn’t figure out a way to get something from point A to point B.
“We can’t go near the Godless, it’s a risk we can’t afford,” said Childe, nodding along to Capitano’s explanation. Arlecchino interjected, thinking about crossing the Frozen Sea to Mondstadt and the using a land carrier.
No matter what, they were still arguing when you finished your drawing. Looking up for a moment, you glanced at the chart before an idea crossed your mind.. It was a path, way easier than any of their suggestions.
Getting up from Pierro’s lap, you went to take a better look at the map, prompting them to fall silent, observing you. Do you want to send this cargo from Perekrestok to Liyue??” you sought, nodding at your question. You continued to study it, “but you will make it depart from Snezhnograd? Why?You quizzed, startled..
Well, they didn’t know. Why don't you transfer the load to Sumeru and then from Port Aarra you dispatch it to Liyue Harbour?? Don’t we have the machinery to do that?” you suggested, stammering on the word a bit.
You were right. After all, they had the means to teleport people around, let alone with a cargo.. And it was faster to travel from Sumeru to Liyue without delays. “We didn’t think about that. But I see what you mean,” responded Pulcinella.
You smiled, going back to your previous sit and resumed your sketch, polishing it. You showed them the composition, and they all cooed at your ability. Not only you were getting smarter by the day, but you also were too cute for your own good. “When you finish it, we will hang it with the rest,” said Pierro, before sending you off with a forehead kiss and a hug.

Hope you are well mania! please can i request something similar to the Beidou x brat reader but with yae miko?
Unkept Secrets (Yae Miko x Reader)
𝗔/𝗡: 𝗵𝗲𝗵𝗵𝗲𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗲 ;]
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁: 𝗼𝗻𝗲 || 𝘁𝘄𝗼
𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚? ⇒ 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩
𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧?
𝙗𝙪𝙮 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙘𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚?
Yae Miko doesn’t keep secrets from you.
“Fix your face.”
She does, however, keep you.
She lets you know what she thinks of you. She lets you know what she wants from you. She lets you know how much she wants you.
In her clutches. In her care. In her heart. In her mind. In her cages. She’s good to you. She always is. But the brat in you can’t help but let your perception of her change based on the season rather than an actual reason more and more these days. And she never really appreciated the little bit of attitude that hung to you once you accepted her proposition not too long ago. In fact, you know you’re treading on to that point in the scene where she’ll do something about the way your eyes are full with more fire than pleasure. You know you’re treading on it, and the water is just about to run out. Still, that little piece of information does little to sway your actions in moments like this.
No, you’re not as strong as her. You’re not as brazen as her. You’re not her. But she’s yours as much as you are hers.
“Or what?”
And you’d be damned if you didn’t have some of your own fun here too.
You’re limited, however. The tight sensation of her favorite red ropes across your skin reminds you of that constantly. She has your arms bound behind your back in a way that’ll make it impossible for you to escape on your own. Loops and loops and knots and knots that you know will have your shoulders straining and your back aching by the time she’s through with you. And the way the ropes are wrapped around your legs? They’re even more limiting. An intricate tying of a piece of rope has sitting pretty on your knees with no choice but to fight against your binding for every second you wish to close them. To refrain from exposing your most intimate parts to any watchful eyes. To refrain from exposing your most intimate parts to her watchful eyes. But you’ll manage.
There have been some scenes when you have more control than this one. And there are some scenes when you have even less control. You’ll manage. Because while she may hold all the power over you the second she straight ties little knots around your body that you can hardly understand…you still have some power left over too.
At least, until she decides to gag you.
Because your little comment would push any proud woman’s buttons. And it did- it did push her buttons. Though Yae Miko doesn’t explode right away. She’s not the person to. You weren’t expecting her to. So it’s that subtle little clench in her jaw that gets you excited. It’s the way her eyes narrow into slits as she looks at you that gets your half-smile turning into a full-on smirk. It’s the way her fingers are twitching ever so slightly- even as she oh-so-carefully tries to hide them by folding her arms over her chest- that gets you licking at your lips. But most of all?
It’s the way her gaze drinks in your bound form that has your heart skipping beats left and right.
And judging by the past scenes where she went so far as to savor every single emotion, thought, and expression you showed only to her? You have a feeling that she knows this already. That she knows all of this already. That the way you hold your confidence is all for her and her alone. And it’s time for her to take it. Take what her’s. Or at least put up a fight for you. Because you’d be damned if Yae Miko kept you like this. You’d be damned if Yae Miko kept you without so much as a fucking fight.
And because she’s yours. And because you’re hers. Because you complete each other. Because you belong to each other. Because you were made for each other…she gives you exactly what you want- exactly what you need- without so much as a flick of her pretty, pretty, tail.
And she does it with a smile.
It’s a wicked smile though. A knowing one. One full of power and control and lust and sorts of vices that you both know are unbecoming of the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine. But before you can even get another bite out at her, she’s sauntering over to you from her side of the room. A sway to her hips as she takes all the time in the world. But it’s her turn now. Her moment to call the shots. Her time to move the pieces into place. So all you can do is watch and wait as moves ever closer to you. Step after step. Moment after moment. She loves making you wait. She loves making you watch. Until she decided that she wasted enough time. Only then does she remember with a vengeance how much she just loves making you squirm.
And this time, you know is no different. Because all too soon and not quite soon enough, she’s standing in front of. Peering down at you with a perfectly arched eyebrow and a knowing expression across her face. And you can do nothing but just kneel there- kneel there and watch as she raises one of her legs and places the bottom of her foot directly against your thighs. And as much as you don’t want to react, you don’t have a choice but to let your legs part as she puts more and more pressure onto your lap, just to relieve yourself of this feeling.
She doesn’t miss the way your voice goes soft, and your breath goes needy as you find yourself opening up your legs and exposing more of your nudity to her. And you don’t miss the way the corners of her lips seem to tug up even more at your own little slip-up. But you knew it would be impossible for you to hide it. You knew it would be impossible for it to not show. Because as much as Yae Miko doesn’t keep secrets from you, you don’t keep secrets from her too.
No, it’s rather that you can’t. You can’t keep secrets from her. Even if you tried. Even if you wanted to. Because in moments like these, she holds all the power over you- leaving you just a tiny little sliver of hope left. A tiny little sliver that she can take away in an instant. And you’re crazy enough to let her tie you up.
“I don’t think you’re quite in the position to be talking to me like that, my dear~”
Who says you aren’t crazy enough to let her gag you too?

Emovoir, which means to ‘stir up’. I learned it in personal development class when we were learning about emotions. Background song used ("Bewitched" by Laufey), HaiKaveh
Emovoir
Alhaitham never expected to love someone again, because all the people who loved him, leave in the end. Which is why he decided to just not attempt it, it would be easier to pretend that he's not capable of such a feeling than to get attached to someone who'd break his heart when they go.
Until he met Kaveh.
The only person who made an effort to approach him when everyone else ignored him due to a cold attitude. The shinning light of Ksharewar, like the only bright star in a dark sky which is Alhaitham's life. The best thing that ever happened to him.
And before he knew it, he had begun to love him.
He knows that he should be angry with himself, after all, he said it over and over that he wouldn't love anyone. But it just happened. He loved Kaveh.
Loved.
Kaveh doesn't love him back, or at least, not in the way Alhaitham loves him. He cares for him, but only to that extent.
Alhaitham fell first, fell hard, and is still falling. But Kaveh is walking his path of life farther and farther away without looking back.
This is just a short drabble I came up with in the middle of class and 2 hours is a lot of time to plot something out so my brain was like... hmm, emovoir, I like that word to... hmmm. what if, fanfic... to... hmmm angsty... and so on, I wanted to expand on this plot and maybe make it into a oneshot at the least but this is all my brain juice can think of at the moment, au revoir!

Flying in the Wind [Genshin Impact] - Chapter 19. My eternal gratitude
Chapter 19 My eternal gratitude
Kazuha didn't need too much explanation or prompting from his hostess to start speaking. Some of the words he would pronounce he had repeated several times in his head over those eight years, not knowing for sure if the day would come when he would have to pronounce them. But the day had indeed arrived; strong, forceful, and inevitable.
"When my father died, my uncle had to take the clan's leadership since I was too young to do so," he explained in a firm and solemn voice. Ayaka, still sitting right in front of him, was listening intently. "That did not prevent him from explaining to me in his own way the situation we were going through and telling me that it was my responsibility to do something to solve it. Back then, I... could only understand part of what was happening. They had already told me before that things had not been going well since my grandfather's time. And trying to recover somehow, my father got involved in several businesses that did not turn out well. I don't know if his gambling addiction came as a result of his failures, or maybe it was the other way around. Anyway, needless to say, that didn't help either. Instead, he got involved with bad people and he ended up owing large sums of money to them; even after his death..."
Kazuha lowered her eyes a little and let out a short sigh; maybe of tired, maybe of embarrassed...
"I was just a kid," he pointed out apathetically. "I did not understand at all any of those topics my uncle talked to me about, nor everything they actually involved. It is even possible that I do not fully understand it even today. And, of course, much less did I know how I could solve any of it. My only alternative was to trust my uncle and that he would do what was best for our family and me. And it was then when he managed to get your brother to consider me a viable candidate to be your husband."
Hearing that, Ayaka instinctively turned her face to the side as if she didn't want him to look directly at the emotion that had drawn on her. Was it anger? Was it sadness? She wasn't sure, but it wasn't a nice one.
"To be honest, even now, I don't know how he did it," Kazuha added right after. "And I especially don't know how he hid the real situation of our family from the Kamisato clan advisors."
Maybe he didn't know it, but Ayaka was present that day to witness her brother's anger, and she knew from that moment that he did have a theory about it. He obviously didn't share it with her back then, but Ayaka found out about it through other means.
"My brother has always believed that your uncle somehow colluded with his advisors to deliberately withhold that information from him, taking advantage of the fact that he had just become head of the clan and was not yet soaked in the entire situation of our vassal clans. Perhaps he did it through bribes, or perhaps with other types of promises in the future when the marriage took place."
"I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case," Kazuha replied with bitterness in her voice. "Anyway, all I knew at the time was that I had to impress you and your brother to accept the engagement, and so I did. Because they had convinced me that it was my responsibility as the future leader of the clan."
"But you didn't want to, did you?" Ayaka asked. And although she received no verbal response, the boy's silence was enough. "So... it was all just about the money? From the beginning...?"
"For my uncle, it was," Kazuha said quickly, looking up again as confidently as he could. "All I wanted was... to somehow fulfill my supposed duty to my family. But, Ayaka..."
Kazuha leaned his body forward, planting one of his hands on the ground for support and inching a little closer to her. Ayaka was slightly shocked to see that his gaze had turned firm and determined, very different from the sense of defeat that seemed to grip him just a moment ago.
"I swear I never knew my uncle's true intentions," he declared fervently, holding his listener's gaze. "I didn't know that he had kept our true situation from your family, nor about the loans he took out using your brother as a guarantee, or any of the dirty business he was running. I found out about all this practically at the same time as the others. But..." He was silent for a moment, but almost immediately, he continued. "In hindsight, I should have known. It was quite obvious, and I didn't see it...or didn't want to see it."
He slowly backed away, resuming his seat, crestfallen.
"You said it, Kazuha: you were just a kid," Ayaka pointed out, remaining calm. "You can't blame yourself for that."
"I've told myself that many times," Kazuha muttered with some discomfort in her voice. "But the only truth is that I was my uncle's accomplice in all this in one way or another. And just like Katsumoto said, I was just as guilty as he was for ruining my family..." He slowly raised his gaze back to Ayaka, forcing himself to face her again. "And also to ruin our friendship... and our engagement."
Ayaka felt slightly embarrassed by those words and the intense pain they conveyed to her. Again she was forced to turn her gaze elsewhere. Her fingers pressed lightly against the fabric of her skirt.
"Perhaps if I had been braver, more cunning, or more intelligent like you, I could have done something so that things didn't end the way they did," she listened as Kazuha pronounced slowly, almost as if it was more for himself than for her. "But the truth is that by the time my uncle fled, the damage was simply irreparable, especially if it was left in the hands of a business inept little boy like me. In the end, I decided to leave everything, and whatever happened had to happen. The Kaedehara clan fell, not because of the action of just one, but because of the bad decisions made by three generations before me and because I was not able to deal with it."
"If you could redo something differently... would you do it?" Ayaka whispered with slight curiosity.
"About letting my clan fall to ruin? No..." Kazuha replied slowly. "I still think it was the best I could do at the time. Although I am ashamed to say it, the truth is that after my father, uncle, and grandfather's actions, the Kaedehara clan no longer represented even a shadow of what it was before. What I could come to regret about that was how it ended up affecting others, like Katsumoto. But after what happened tonight, I understand that I can't regret the decisions and actions of others. I chose my path after what happened, and it is clear that Katsumoto and his followers did the same. However..."
There was a moment of silence and a small flash of hesitation, but calm and firmness returned to him. And holding Ayaka's gaze fully again, he added:
"If there is something that I would like to redo or change somehow, it is the damage that I could have caused you, Ayaka... or what you could have ended up believing about me after what happened."
Ayaka was slightly startled to hear him say that. Again some blush was painted on her cheeks, but this time she did not turn her face one bit to hide it.
"Because," Kazuha continued, "beyond everything I've told you, I ask you to believe me when I tell you this: although I first went to meet you because of what my uncle had told me, the truth is that was never my main reason to continue visiting you. Life at the Kaedehara Estate had become unbearable after my father's death. I quickly began to feel like a complete stranger, suffocated in my own house... But everything changed whenever I saw you. The moments we spent together those two years were by far... the happiest of my childhood. And I have always carried each of those memories engraved in my heart. And if I've been avoiding you all this time, it was out of sheer cowardice and feeling unworthy to even tell you this. And because... I thought your life would be much better without the memory of that betrayal haunting you. But now that you have given me this opportunity, I have no choice but to do this..."
Kazuha placed both hands on the ground before him and slowly leaned his entire body forward until his forehead touched the ground. Ayaka watched him, puzzled.
"I want to offer you my most sincere and profound apologies for all the pain I caused you and your family. I know that coming from a man who is now just a simple wanderer, a pitiful apology like this is worthless. But having nothing else to remedy the damage caused, I'm afraid it's the only thing I can offer you..."
The room fell silent. Kazuha remained in the same position, motionless as a statue. Ayaka watches him silently, slowly calming the incessant pounding that hammered in her chest. As soon as that conversation started, she felt very confused about what she felt hearing her old friend's explanations. But those last words, and seeing him there bowing before her with such regret crushing him... Ayaka finally had it quite clear.
It wasn't an explanation or an apology what she really wanted when she searched so hard for Kazuha. What she really wanted, the only thing she wanted... was him. See and hear him again; have her old friend once more in her life.
"Look up, Kazuha; please," Ayaka murmured slowly, not as an order but a sincere request.
Kazuha did just as she was asked, standing up again. And as his gaze rested on her, he was surprised to see her smile broadly at him. And there was no disgust or anguish in her eyes but totally opposite feelings.
Ayaka moved a little closer along the floor until she sat closer to him. Kazuha sat up straight again and faced her head-on. He was trying to focus and prepare for whatever was coming... but the intoxicating scent of flowers wafting from her distracted him again as soon as she was close to him again.
The young Kamisato then began to speak in a cautious voice:
"The truth is that in these eight years, I thought a lot about what I would say to you if one day I saw you again. There were many things I wanted to ask or claim you. Things that my brother, the time, and the pain made me believe. But as soon as I saw you tonight, all those things just slipped out of my mind. Seeing you standing there in front of me in that dojo, I didn't think about anything I thought I wanted to tell you. The only thing I thought about was how really happy I felt to find you and know you were okay..."
The smile on her thin lips widened even more, and her entire face was suffused with a radiance that Kazuha found almost blinding. But he didn't look away; his whole body refused to take his eyes off her as if he thought she might simply vanish into thin air at first distraction.
"Kazuha," Ayaka continued, "the moments I spent with you were also the happiest I've ever had, especially after the shadow over me due to my father's death and my mother's illness. And I don't forget either that you were my greatest support when she died. You were my best and my only... friend. And I have fondly carried those memories with me over the years too. And for that, what I owe you is my eternal gratitude."
And with those words pronounced, Ayaka closed her eyes and slightly inclined her body towards him, in a bow that was perhaps not as deep as the one he had made but that, given the circumstances, felt much more important.
"I don't deserve your words, Ayaka..." Kazuha muttered, a little embarrassed.
"I think totally different," answered the blue-haired girl, straightening up and opening her eyes again. "The fact that you stood here before me, and told me all this face to face, shows that you are still the noble, good and kind boy that I knew."
"You forget yesterday I ran like a coward as soon as I saw you."
"You must have your reasons for doing so," Ayaka answered in a slightly playful tone, shrugging. "But you didn't run away tonight, and that's what counts for me. You are here right now, with me..."
Kazuha was utterly speechless. There were no words in his mind that he could use to express what was going through his head and flooding his chest at that moment. His crimson eyes were absorbed in contemplation of her as if he wanted to memorize every inch of her face.
And so, as sudden and spontaneous as everything that night had happened, Kazuha was struck by clarity. The affection and gratitude he felt for the memory of the Ayaka he met years ago were not compared to what he felt right now towards the beautiful woman before him, who smiled and looked back at him with so much light radiating from her. They were the same person, of course, but at the same time, they were too different. And in a way, this whole encounter was almost like seeing her for the first time. And with just that short time they had been talking, Kazuha was hopelessly captivated. Or, he would even dare to say that he was...
"Ayaka..." he uttered suddenly with some force. He didn't even think about it; his body simply did it of its own accord, as if somehow wanting to get rid of what was stuck in his chest.
The young Kamisato jumped, a little surprised by the sudden mention that broke the slight silence they had fallen.
"Yes...?" She spoke slowly, a little unsurely.
Kazuha hesitated. His heart was pounding, and his breath had almost entirely left him. Her lips opened, but no words came out of them. What exactly did he mean? What words together could give shape to what he wanted...?
"I..." he said slowly, instinctively bringing his body closer to her. Ayaka tensed a little but remained still in her position, expectant. "Ayaka... I..."
The calm that had been perceived until that moment was broken by a sudden hustle and bustle coming from outside the room. Some shouts and especially hurried footsteps against the wooden floor of the corridor.
Kazuha's sharp instincts kicked in, and his first reflex was to grab his sword from the ground and jump up to stand protectively right in front of Ayaka. His hand rested near the hilt of his sword, ready to draw, and his eyes fixed on the door.
An instant later, before either of them could do anything else, the screaming became much clearer to both of them:
"Taromaru, no!"
"Tama, wait!"
And before the astonished looks of the two young people, the room door opened, and the small white figure of the cat Tama jumped inside, followed closely by the slightly larger one of the dog Taromaru. Both animals meowed and barked, respectively, running and chasing each other, right around them now. It didn't take long for Thoma and Tomo to appear as well, each behind one of the combatants.
Ayaka reflexively pressed herself against Kazuha's back a bit. Not out of fear, but rather not to get in the way of that persecution. From their position, she and Kazuha just watched all the sudden chaos.
After several attempts, Thoma and Tomo managed to bind both animals to opposite room corners.
"Stop, Taromaru!" Thoma exclaimed loudly and quickly took the Shiba dog tightly in his arms. It jerked and barked frantically, but Thoma managed to not let him get away. "What's wrong?! You don't behave like that!"
For his part, Tomo had taken Tama in his hands a few moments before she ran away between his legs.
"I'm very disappointed with you, Tama," he said angrily, holding the cat in both hands in front of his face. She responded with a loud, threatening snort. "Hey, don't talk to me in that tone, young lady."
One of the waitresses, who seemed to be behind them, suddenly appeared in the doorway, visibly agitated. Thoma hurried over to her along with Taromaru and passed it to her.
"Get him away from here, please," he instructed the girl, who held the canine as best she could. Once he was outside, Thoma quickly closed the door, thus trying to keep at least a barrier between them. "Taromaru never behaves this way. It seems to me that he must have sensed someone's bad intentions..."
Making such a comment, which almost seemed like an accusation, he discreetly turned in Tomo's direction.
"Hey, Tama is a good girl," the wandering samurai defended himself. "I won't let you accuse her like that."
"Who said I was talking about the cat?" Thoma muttered with some sarcasm.
Tomo, more than annoyed, seemed amused by that.
"So much paranoia," he commented into the air as he tucked Tama back into his kimono, much against her will. Once all was quiet, he turned to the two previous occupants of the room. "Excuse us, please. Did we interrupt you in the middle of something...?"
The tone in which he had asked that question confused Kazuha and Ayaka a bit. However, they both became aware almost simultaneously that Ayaka was still pressed against the boy's back, so they quickly jumped to the side, marking a suitable distance between them.
"We were just talking," Ayaka hurried to clarify.
"Of course," Tomo muttered with evident skepticism.
"Be more respectful," Thoma admonished him, though there was a hint of concern in his voice. "Is everything alright, Lady Ayaka?"
"Yes, of course," the young Kamisato answered quickly, clearing her throat a little. Then, with forced calm, she turned back to Kazuha. "Thank you for jumping like that to protect me... but it wasn't necessary. I told you this was a safe place, remember? But still... thank you for your concern."
Kazuha sighed slowly, letting out a bit of the weight he was carrying inside. Sure, if there had been any real danger, she would have jumped to her sword and defended herself without him having to intervene. And in fact, in other circumstances, he might have realized that it was just a dog and a cat chasing each other, and he wouldn't have reacted in such an exaggerated way. And yet, at the time, his body had moved on its own, without much thought.
"What were you going to tell me?" He heard Ayaka ask suddenly, drawing his attention back.
"What?"
"Before Taromaru and Tama came in, you were going to tell me something... right?" murmured Ayaka slowly, her white cheeks turning rosy again. "What was it...?"
The moment came crashing back to Kazuha, and he was almost tempted to thank the Archons for the interruption. What right did he have to say what he intended to say at that moment? He had simply gotten carried away for the moment, not thinking of the consequences his words might have on Ayaka. And that made him feel totally despondent.
Being interrupted had been for the best.
"I think we've caused too much trouble already," he muttered suddenly, standing up quickly and practically ignoring Ayaka's question. "We should go now..."
"No!" the young Kamisato uttered forcefully, also standing up. She instantly brought a hand to her mouth, embarrassed to realize she had inadvertently raised her voice too high. "I mean... it's a little late. Are you staying somewhere?"
"No," Kazuha replied, shaking his head. "As I told you, it is not recommended that we stay in the city near the Tenryou guard for a long time. So we're camping on the outskirts."
"But... you could stay here for this night if you want," Ayaka suggested quickly, taking everyone, including Thoma, by surprise. "It is a safe place, as I already mentioned. The Tenryou Commission won't bother you here. And if you haven't had dinner yet, I can also ask someone to prepare something to eat... if you want..."
Ayaka's lips pressed together slightly as she stared at Kazuha for his response. He seemed a bit stunned. Did she really not want him to leave? And, to be honest... did he want to leave?
Tomo cautiously advanced towards his friend, standing next to him.
"It would do me good not to sleep a night in the open for a change," the samurai added calmly. "And of course, also eat something hot. But you decide, friend."
That didn't sound like he had the decision, though Kazuha knew deep down that his words were sincere. And what he was doing, in part, was giving him an excuse to accept the invitation without putting all the blame on him. That was the kind of person Tomo was...
"If we don't cause you any trouble..." Kazuha muttered slowly.
"No problem at all!" Ayaka replied quickly, smiling as broadly and beamingly as before. And at that moment, Kazuha knew there was no way he would get away from her. Not for the rest of the night, at least. "Thoma," said the Heron Princess, turning to her servant, "can you ask the attendants to prepare a room for two and also something for dinner?"
Thoma seemed visibly unsure about it. But once again, it was not his place to contradict his mistress's wishes.
"Right away, my lady," the blond man replied solemnly, heading immediately for the door.
"Ah, how is Mr. Ouji?" Ayaka asked quickly before he left.
"He's not awake yet, but he's already settled in his room."
"Very well; I hope he reacts soon. Thanks, Thomas.
The young servant responded with a simple smile and a nod before leaving the room to fulfill her request.
Author's Notes:
Not too important to mention, but I wrote the entire draft of this chapter in one sitting, and now my fingers hurt. It's just that the whole scene with Ayaka and Kazuha required all of my concentration, and I couldn't get distracted. And being already in Chapter 19, in addition to closing with its pending issues, it was necessary to move things forward a bit. What did you think? I am happy with the result. The night between these two has been long but still refuses to end. In fact, do you realize that all of this has happened in just two days? Don't you feel like much more time has passed? That's crazy...

TAGLIST; @zuyoo
NOW PLAYING; the lakes by taylor swift “i want auroras and sad prose. i want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet 'cause i haven't moved in years, and i want you right here.”
Liyue, The Harbor.
Present,
A glorious and normal day in the harbor: shouts of the merchants filled the place, the little kids running around and playing, animals resting, and so on.
If you were to look back at the Liyue Harbor years ago, you would have concluded that this land has been cultivated… a lot. Liyue constantly grows under Rex Lapis' lead. However, it all changed when the Exuvia fell from the heavens… unalive. After that, the citizens of Liyue believed that their Archon had already passed away. Nevertheless, they continued with their lives as if nothing happened.
What they don't know is that he still lives. He's well and alive. He breathes in and out. He continued his life as a mortal, for years and years.
But,
He is frozen in time.
While his dear land and people continued to change, Rex Lapis stayed the same. He remained in the past. The feelings and sorrows remain in him. Everything remains in him.
He is frozen in time as his crestfallen heart longs for someone. He still spends his days hoping that he would get to find a glimpse of them. Hoping that every misery that happened in the past is all a lie. Praying and wishing that this dear someone would come back to him.
Immortality is a curse.
It is a curse that he will forever loathe. Immortality is a curse because you’ll eventually outlive someone within a short time. It maims the most when you watch them with their skin young and clear and then transitioning from there to having wrinkles and gray strands.
An immortal might have been a mortal's whole life but to an immortal's infinite days, a mortal is just once a part of their world.
But to him, It's not like that. Because he stopped functioning the day he lost the one.
He prayed to wake up one day where he's just a normal human who wakes up beside his beloved. Kissing their lips and swooning over their unmatched beauty that rivaled the stars. He prayed to go back in time where only both of them matter. He wished to go back to that spring as their love bloomed along with the blossoms that even glowed in summer.
That summer love...
He continued to reminisce. Those good old days never seem to fade away from him. He remembers everything all too well. He remembers every memory. But… every memory is not a happy one.
There are some memories he wishes he can’t recall burn it. And there are some he never wants to forget that he wants them pinned in his heart. Those are the good memories he wishes to keep as a secret for it is too sacred that he only wants to share them with the person who’s in that memory.
Being too intelligent and having a memory is also a curse if you turn the tables around. It’s a weight of pros and cons. He loathes it. But he also cherishes it.
He, who lived for the hope of it all.
“Mr. Zhongli!” A call from reality made him go back to his senses. He looked around to search for the one who called him. Then, he spotted Hu Tao waving at him. He cleared his throat before he smiled at the young woman.
“Director Hu, How can I help you?” He greeted her warmly as the girl sat across from him.
“Mora for your thoughts?” Hu tao grinned at him and showed him a penny. Zhongli only shook his head at the girl’s antics. He brought the teacup close to his lips and blew it to lessen the hotness of the tea before sipping a little and turning towards Hu Tao.
“Not necessarily, I was just simply thinking about what I should do for the day. How about you, Director Hu? You seem ecstatic today.” He observed how the young woman seemed livelier than the normal days. Zhongli thought something must have happened that resulted in her mood today and it was getting on his curiosity but he doesn't want to push her to admit what it is if she doesn't want to. But of course, It is Hu Tao.
“You noticed! Aiya! Today is indeed a good day! I got myself a pretty friend!” Hu tao cupped her face. She was gleaming with excitement and it made him smile. He was happy for her. After all, people mostly avoid her because of her business tactics. They find her weird.
Some put up with her despite her silliness like Zhongli, but those people can only be counted on fingers. Zhongli sometimes questions her actions but he brushes it off and still cares for her. So, hearing that she got herself a friend was a big deal to her.
“That’s nice, Director Hu. I am ecstatic for you as well.” He replied.
“Really? You know what, you should meet them! They’re fun and nice!”
“Ah, It’s fine—”
“Then it’s all set! We’ll see you at Wanmin Restaurant later when the cloud strikes at golden hour!” Hu tao stood up and ran off somewhere before he could decline her offer. Zhongli could only sigh at himself and continued sipping his tea.
‘I have no choice, I guess.’ He thought as he stood up from his seat and went back to work in the Yansheng Funeral Parlour. ‘Let’s just get this done.’
—
“Mr, Zhongli! You came! Yay!” Hu tao exclaimed as she was seated on a stool in Wanmin Restaurant. The man merely nodded at her and took a seat beside the girl. Then, he turned towards her.
“So, what is your friend like?” Zhongli started as he browsed the menu. Hu tao sighed knowingly and swung her foot.
“Well, they are fun to be with! They are a jolly and a curious person. A person that is naive in a good way! I am sure you will like them.” She snickered as she covered her mouth while her eyes stared at him with a teasing hint on it. The man could only close his eyes and shook his head at her.
“Oh–! That's them! My friend!” Hu Tao stood up from her chair and waved at the person who was approaching them with a grin.
Zhongli turned towards the direction she was waving at. There, he saw a person with a sequined smile plastered on their face. The person waved back at the excited Hu tao. Seeing this, she shook his shoulder. “Mr. Zhongli! That's my friend! They're pretty, right? You're starstruck, hehe.”
He was starstruck? No, his world halted from revolving.
The ever man who never lost his composure was now having his soft lips parted as he gaped at the sight of the person. His eyes glowed. His heart beating after being buried dead.
The man who was once frozen in time now melts. The glacier ice that surrounded him defrosted as the person neared him every second as if they're the summer sun that changed his forever winter upside down.
As if being drowned for a long time, his breath hitched as the person now stood in front of him.
'That face…'
This caused him to stand on his feet as he gaped at the sight. His eyes blinking in disbelief and lips opening as if trying to say something but no words came out. He was baffled. His mind was in a labyrinth of questions and emotions.
“Hu Tao! Hello—” The person was cut off when Zhongli approached them and raised his hand as he let his fingers touch their face as salt water managed to cascade down a line on his cheeks, leaving a tear stain on his sculpture-like face.
“This face, my dearest love…” His voice shook along with his fingers that caressed their face. A crystalline tear. An eye that tells a lot of memories. The palm of a freezing hand. A heart that cried out.
“(name)?”
Zhongli whispered longingly as his tapestry mended. He was breathless. He came back alive. He was now once frozen. The time passed by for everyone else and he won't know it because by heart, mind, body and soul, he was still there, right where he was left.
Now that a familiar face that he forgot despite his great memory showed up, what would he do? Will he just let the time pass by them again or will he wake up in the daylight after shutting down for centuries as the golden days ended him?
“You're finally back..”
